Engrave a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label... →
Is Blue Label really that great?  I’ve never had a super expensive scotch, I’ll have to treat myself to a glass (maybe they can sell it by the sip…) sometime soon.

I've got my Top 100
I took all the movies I’d seen and broke it down into what I like, what I didn’t like, and meh. Then from what I liked I broke that down further into what I really liked, and it was 105, so Minority Report, Garden State, Knocked Up, The Mist, and Reign Over Me got knocked out and I have my 100. And if you care, the “likes” that did not make the top 100 are here.  The...

Strike that last post about movies seen this...
I knew something was wrong.  I started thinking of movies I know came out only within the last year or so that weren’t on the list.  Problem was I was using Wikipedia’s “Year in Film” list.  This only covered theatrical releases, and for the last couple years their list covers only wide releases.  So I’m going back over the list of DVD releases, and so far have found...

I've seen 601 movies that came out in the last 10...
I can’t decide if that’s a lot or what.  This is based off Wikipedia’s list of releases, so there could be more that I missed.  Now it’s time to figure out the top 100. EDIT: Here’s a spreadsheet of those 601.   (yes it said 605 before but there were some listed twice)

sung to the tune of It’s Gonna Be Me by N’Sync You might have heard of a man named Newton, and his first law of motion, ooh, ohh. It states that an object with no net force acting on it rests or moves with constant speed in a line. Every little thing that moves it’s motion has something to do with the laws set out by Newton back in 1687. Baby when you multiply acceleration by mass...

Working through my Google Reader
madthoughts: What was once the ultimate tool for keeping up with the news and blogs I was interested in has now become a burden. A source of anxiety and work to make my way through. What’s the answer? Rely on the cloud (Twitter, Tumblr, and friends) to give me the news I need? How do you consume on the internet? Do you use RSS readers? How is that working out for you? I use Netvibes.  I...
